Although winter is usually the time to pile on the layers, this season its all about the heaviest of heavy cardigans. If your cardigan is cable stitched, mid-collared and ribbed, all you need is a thin shirt beneath to keep your heat on an average winter day. But I would only have faith in a sweater for the really cold weather if its at least 50% wool, don't find yourself stranded in the cold wearing some synthetic fabric. They are chunky and bulky, but they are still knitted to fit and the red color option just makes a loud eye-catching statement.
