Even though its still dumping snow here in Boston, don't forget that spring is right around the corner. I figured I would start off the spring posts with something extravagant. The late and great Alexander McQueen's legacy continues into the Spring 2011 season with earthy excellence. I chose to only give you a glimpse of the women's heels because I appreciate the details. You can see the earthy accents of reptile skins, monarch butterflies and wheat to embellish the heels. Out of the collection, I think my favorite features are the gleaming gold toe and the wheat cuff.
Leather Jacket, Black Glasses, All American Bad Boy, Dapper, Dirty, Dank, Jet Setting to Class, Rome for Lunch, Australia for Dinner and Peru For Breakfast the Next Morning, Wearing Dior Shoes in the Swamp, Bold, Modern, Intelligent, Creative, Designer, Artist, Casanova, Exquisite, Sleek, Clean, Cut, Crisp, Connoisseur of Fine Wines, Women, and Wardrobe and A Future Brighter than the Sun...All before 21

LISA'S DIVAS!!! DONALD J. PLINER::LISA COLLECTION
-Lisa Pliner-
The wife of footwear and accessory designer Donald J. Pliner, Lisa Pliner has finally released her self-titled collection 'Lisa' for this Fall. As the creative director for Donald's line and alumni of Parson's School of Design, this really shouldn't surprise anyone. Of the many designs, the above 'Isi' shoe is my favorite of her collection. They look like high fashion boots that have been mounted on a 4-inch heel. This shoe has a real rock-glam style with the side zipper and studded tongue. I like how the shoe lace wraps around the ankle the 'milk white wash' colorway has an antiquated appearance, which almost always adds style to any look.

Here's some ideas for you ladies that are wondering how you can push the envelop with your heels without looking like Lady Gaga. Heels are one of the few pieces of your wardrobe that can be more expressive than the rest of your outfit. Try thinking of your heels as the center piece of your outfit one night and wear something more simple.
